Uniform #3. Camarillo. St. Bonaventure Varsity Stopper. Junior. Plays one of the Central Backs. Also, known as the 911. Player always around the ball in midfield. Original Member of the team. One of the best Defenders in the State of California. Received the very prestigious FIRE HYDRANT AWARD for 1996.

TARA BYLER
Uniform #5. Left Lateral back. Likes to play forward. Moved to Texas last year but is returning to the team. We feel that she ended up in Texas because when she drives her car she gets lost and must have headed East by mistake one night after a date. Great sense of humor! Received the very prestigious FIRE HYDRANT AWARD for 1995.

SHARON COLLINS
Uniform #14. Lateral midfield. Also can play Defense. Been with team for 2 years. Newbury Park High School Varsity team. Aside from playing with Deception, Sharon is an executive at Lamppost Pizza in Newbury Park!

MANDY ENFIELD
Uniform #13. Ventura. I call the Lateral Backs the bookends. It is where things begin and it is where they should end. Mandy and Tana make up the essence of our defense and the transition of our attack. Played Varsity at Ventura High School this year. Received the 1996 MVP selected by Coach Award. Indispensable player. First year on the team.

CHLOE FIGUEIREDO
Uniform #10. Same as Pele. Same as Zico. Original member of the team. Forward and also Lateral Midfield. Very strong player, physically. When motivated, she is awesome. Understands all the Coach's philosophies (because she's been hearing them for 17 years). Received the FIRE HYDRANT AWARD in 1994.

MICHELLE FONTANA
Uniform #20. Lateral Midfield. Westlake. This is Michelle's first year with the team. Probably is the most determined player on the team. Works very hard to improve her skills.

LEAH GLASER
Uniform #4. Ventura. Plays at Buena High School. Forward. Leah has an uncanny ability to score goals when we need them most.

ANITA HAIRAPETIAN
Uniform #15. Woodland Hills. Played on the Boys Varsity Team for her High School the year before and the Girls Varsity Team this year. The Playmaker of the team. At her best Anita could play on the National Team.

LACY HANNA
Uniform #1. Newbury Park High School. Junior. Played center midfield for the Varsity Soccer Team. Plays defense on Deception, either sweeper, central back or lateral back. Sometimes center midfield. Been on the team since we first started 3 years ago. "The Sheriff!"

ASHLEY LLOYD
Uniform #12. Goalie. Surfer. Was the Newbury Park High School Varsity goalie last year, in her Sophomore year. Also, in Nationals she saved 87 shots! Aggressive and very dominating in the penalty box. In 1995 League play, Ashley gave up 3 goal. In 1996, she gave up 3. Yashim . . . Shoemaker . . .

SANDY MILIN
Uniform #11. Newbury Park Varsity Team. Plays Forward and Midfield. Runs miles and miles everyday with her Walkman turned on. Wants to be a Rock n' Roll Star. Is the first at practice, the last to get ready. Only joking, Sandy!!

MICHELLE PENTREATH
Uniform #9. Brasilian. Forward. Scored 32 goals one year. At her best Michelle is a franchise player. Granada Hills.

TANA PERAZA
Uniform #19. Camarillo. Left Lateral back. The other bookend! Awesome throw-ins. Almost as good as Chrissy's. Received the 1996 MVP selected by Players Award. Varsity at Camarillo High School. Can play all defensive positions, goalie and 911.

ALIX RUCINSKI
Uniform #18. Camarillo. Left Lateral Midfield. This is the second year Alix has played on the team. Alix is left-footed and has one of the most accurate crosses in the game! Also plays for Camarillo High School Varsity team.


PSYCHIATRIC STAFF



RICK FIGUEIREDO. Grew up in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. Carries a Brasilian Professional Futebol License. Currently the computer analyst for the Jamaican National Football Team (coached by Brasilian Rene Simoes). Coaches the U17 Deception Team in Thousand Oaks.

JORGE COCH. Physical Trainer for CVU Deception. Played with Boca Juniors of Argentina. Also played with Maradona and Pele in the 1970's. Still playing after all these years.

LEZA ROSE. Plyometrics Trainer for CVU Deception. Degrees in Physical Training. Marathon Runner. Also trained the Newbury Park Hockey Team. Responsible for physical conditioning of CVU Deception through 5-mile-every-other-week-runs with team players and soccer plyometric exercises to strengthen knees.

MEL PRALGO. Karate Instructor and Trainer for CVU Deception. Responsible for training team for strengthening of knees, lateral mobility, focus and discipline. Also the study of body language in soccer, (interpreting and expressing). Sessions are once every 2 weeks on Fridays.

DR. DAVE MOLL Team Doctor. Has been in practice more than 40 years. Knowlegeable in impact and stress effects on body during soccer training and games.
